Project Description: Leicester Square is one of the busiest areas in Central London. The Square is surrounded by businesses including Restaurants, Cinemas (with World Film Premiers being undertaken) and Entertainment establishments. The refurbishment of Leicester Square in its entirety including the strip out of existing underground public toilets and total new refurbishment was a good opportunity to showcase our work.
All our managers and operatives are aware of the high standards expected of them and the requirement to reduce any negative impact they may have on the area in which they are working. All projects we are involved in should aim to leave a positive impression on those they affect and this was the case at Leicester Square. The successful delivery of the project led to repeat work from the Client.
Services Provided:
- The installation of a Kentledge hoarding system
- Temporary plumbing and electrics to the Main Contractors site establishment
- Slip trenches to expose underground services
- Installation of tree protection
- Removal of street bollards
- Reinstatement of external paving and laying tarmac ramps for pedestrian walkway
- Traffic Management
- General Logistics services
Project Highlights: Planning was essential due to the sensitive location of the project. Our Site Manager established a good relationship with the occupier’s representative to keep them informed of all works and delivered the project successfully.
